Smoke-Free Policies Work

A recent study confirms that smoke-free policies dramatically reduce exposure to cancer-causing substances. The study, published September 2004 in the Journal of Occupational and Environmental Medicine, measured indoor air in hospitality venues before and after Delaware's smoke-free law went into effect. After the smoking ban was implemented, cancer-causing substances dropped 90 percent or more in all places tested.
